Hello All at Appomattox River Co.
John Lane here. The Mango 2007 Tarpon 160i is doing fine. My wife's boat is bone dry, mine sweats a bit but that is all.
The loads again were such that my wife's boat never had the drain plug or the rudder nuts in the water, while my loading put the drain plug, not the rudder bolts was in the water. I again had a good 30 lb. load of cooler contents in the back and I weigh 165. We both foam plugged the scupper holes behind the seat to keep waves from gushing up through the holes wetting our seats unduly. Seem there is no real reason to have them there, what with the scupper holes, 2 sets in the passenger compartment, and one set in the cargo aft compartment.
Sunday, October 7 found Smith Mountain Lake warm, sunny and the water was fine for dipping as well. A great day. My wife loves her Tarpon 16.
Thanks again for the great boats, we love them! Thank you for all the great customer support as well.
